Now that the kids are "Back to School", it’s an ideal time to consider you should go "Back to School" too!! Learning doesn't have to be formal and you don't have to learn for a qualification. Learning can be fun and a great way to relax and socialise. You might want to develop an existing interest or learn something new.
Everyone of us is a bundle of unique gifts and talents and What’s On 4 Me has a range of courses available - from Skateboarding to How to draw Cats – in order to help unravel your inner gifts!
What’s On 4 Me has something for every stage of life ...
Some passions just cannot be indulged in one hour a week, so if you fancy a treat, then why not Re-Treat - and relax and renew and combine a break with recharging your batteries with like-minded people who share your passion?
Many Retreats and Residential course providers offer comfortable accommodation and home cooking plus a relaxed, informal atmosphere in which to indulge and improve your skills and passions! Why not try your hand at painting, cooking, writing, photography, meditating or wine tasting with small groups of like-minded people........
Find that “Artistic” Bone in your Body!
We are all artists inside – just some people need to dig a little deeper than others to find their “artistic bone”! And there are many different ways to unleash your artistic side! Art courses usually refer to the creation of a picture, for example drawing classes, watercolour classes, oil painting classes – with varieties of painting or drawing including the outdoors, portrait (painting people), and life drawing (drawing or painting the naked form).
However, if you don’t want to draw or paint but still feel creative then you could try unleashing your talents through the power of the pen with creative and reflective writing weekends?
Or use your hands to try sculpting - carving something, by casting, or by moulding materials? Or you might want to learn pottery or ceramics - from beginners’ pot throwing lessons, to advanced glazing techniques, or making specific items.
Or how about jewellery making? There are even some courses available where you can design and make your own unique wedding rings – how about that for a pre-wedding treat?
Whatever your craft is….spend a week, weekend or just a full day fulfilling and enjoying the basic elements or learn the professional skills of the masters!
Snap Happy!
We can all point and click for our family snaps, but have you ever wondered how easy or hard it is to capture a better quality of photograph? Photography courses are open for everyone from beginners to professional photographers.
Residential workshops are a wonderful way for you to maximise your photo opportunities with professional help throughout. You can refine your photographic skills, meet like-minded people and have a relaxed and enjoyable time. Weekend or week long workshops give you maximum opportunity to get out with your camera to take some great shots, as well as the evenings to relax, exchange ideas and review your images.
